Cooking from the heart is about love. It is derived when you relax and allow your actions to come from somewhere deep inside. Let your kitchen act as your stage: a place for technique and heart to find their balance. When your means of cooking are only about technique, and you are solely concerned about competence and precision, then you are blind to the basic reason for cooking in the first place. Cooking can be one of life’s most pleasurable acts: to cook with love and show your family an expression of that love.
Recipe of the Day: Spicy Shrimp

INGREDIENTS
- 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil 
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed away from skin 
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 
- 24 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails in tact (ask for easy peels at your fish counter!) 
- 2 tsp grill or steak seasoning blend or coarse salt and pepper (recommended: Montreal Seasoning by McCormick) 
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced 
- 2 Tbsp chopped parsley leaves 
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan, garlic, red pepper flakes and shrimp. 
- Season with grill seasoning or salt and pepper and cook shrimp 3 minutes or until just pink. 
- Toss with lemon zest, juice and chopped parsley. Remove shrimp to a serving platter leaving the garlic cloves in the pan. 
- Serve over zucchini noodles (optional).
